Overview

Who is Sebastian Lock?

The bar Sophia Pearce is in doesn’t look like much. The wine is bad and the decor worse. But when a sudden attack of curiosity leads her to sneak past security and into the back room, she discovers something unimaginable. The most lavish party she’s ever laid eyes on, in the most unlikely of places.

But that’s nothing compared to what comes next, to the man she meets back there. Sebastian Lock. Gorgeous, commanding, and radiating charm, he is exactly the sort of silver-tongued rake Sophia has sworn to avoid. Unfortunately, he doesn’t care much for her promises.

Every instinct tells her to run, but the chemistry between them is as inescapable as gravity. Soon, he’s opening her eyes to a whole new world of pleasures, pleasures she never thought she’d enjoy.

There’s just one problem. Sebastian is more than he seems. Between the famous company he keeps and the almost paranoid secrecy of his employers, he’s a puzzle Sophia can’t quite solve, and his insistence on keeping things casual forces her to confront the demons of her past.

Can she learn to trust again? Or will Sebastian’s privacy tear them apart?

My Thoughts

This is an interesting dynamic that we have – Sophia is a successful lawyer, while not quite getting the successes that she deserves and Sebastian is an enigma.  He’s clearly powerful, wealthy and mysterious.  It’s not surprising that we see this type of connection between them since it’s usually the masculine authority and appeal that a dom has that is able to bring even the most strong willed independent and successful women to her knees.  literally.

From the first moment that they meet, there’s a connection that can’t be denied.  Sophia has to then decide what she’s going to allow to happen within the constraints of what Sebastian actually allows to happen since he has all the control.  She’s not sure if she trusts him,not only because she knows zero about him, but because she saw a glimpse of interesting paperwork on his desk….among other things.  she has a bad history with guys and that makes her gun shy too.

The challenge then becomes, how much is she going to let him in, and what does that mean when he clearly does simple and no significant ties to a person.  it’s interesting to see the way that this begins to play out in book 1, especially since we don’t get too far into it.  we know that he has the means to find her since he tracked her down at her office, yet he doesn’t give up anything about himself.  phone number, address, personal information.

i can’t wait to see how much he pushes her and how much she gives in.  i’m also really curious as to what he does, and if Sophia will ever see success in her work life.  i don’t know why – but that’s actually important to me in this story.

Review: Infinite Possibilities (The Secret Life of Amy Bensen #2) by Lisa Renee Jones

Title:  Infinite Possibilities
Author: Lisa Renee Jones
Publisher/Year:  Lisa Renee Jones 11/10/13
Length:  240 pages
Series: The Secret Life of Amy Bensen #2

Overview

Secrets and lies. They are everywhere: haunting her, tormenting her. In the midst of it all, he’d been her escape, her passion. The only person she’d trusted in six years. And then he’d made her doubt that trust, cutting her deeply. But as she’d once told him, she was damaged, not broken. She is ready to fight and not just for survival. She is fighting for the truth and she won’t stop until she has it, not even for…him.

My Thoughts

When we last left Amy, she had overheard a conversation between Liam (her boyfriend? lover, protector?) and Derek, his best friend/almost brother where it sounded like they were watching her, via a camera on her computer and she felt betrayed.  The whole premise of  book 1 as you’ll remember is that she’s running from her past – her family was killed in a  fire, and what complicates things is that her father was a very well known, very successful archaeologist, so she feels that it’s all tied together.  Amy had been on the run for 6 years now, and had just been directed to flee to Denver for her safety – which is where she met Liam.  She had been trained to ‘trust no one’ but some how had let him in, and that’s where things ended up badly.  She felt like everything that she thought she had known and trusted about him was wrong.

So in the beginning of book 2, Amy figures a plan on how to get out of Denver, with the ultimate goal of going to Texas since that’s where she’s from and where she needs to face things.  While she’s making her way elsewhere, she hitchhikes through truck stops, gets jobs at diners to make her way and tries to fly under the radar.  of course – easier said than done because some how Liam finds her at a diner in New Mexico and tells her that if he found her, the people looking for her could.  She decides to listen to him after a bit of a struggle, and ends up trusting what he’s saying to be true and goes with him back to NYC to be ‘protected’.  Complications don’t end there – we learn that Liam knows the truth about who Amy is (aka her real name and past) and has done some digging and investigating on his own.  He also tries to track down the people who were hunting her, only to find that they have also been murdered which makes things worse.  Liam devises a plan to escape since they’ve realized that it’s not safe for them to stay in NYC for the time being – all of which is complicated because…..Amy is preggo.

we’ll get back to that – or maybe not.  In any event, the morning that they are going to leave New York for Taiwan, a fire alarm is triggered at Liam;’s ‘secure’ home and they evacuate.  While Amy is getting evaluated by the EMT, she gets a note from ‘her brother’ which ultimately turns out to be from Meg (yes, meg the woman from the office in Denver) who says that she’s married to Amy’s brother – and that he’s actually alive.  The story from there gets much more complex…but we start to learn a bit more from her, from Amy’s continued flashbacks and from various folks that re-aoppear.

Meg plays an interesting role.

Jared comes back

We learn more about Chad and what he was doing and what he tried to set up as a safety precaution

And we don’t know what this all means for Amy and Liam in the end.  We know that it’s a struggle for them, and we know that even with all the money that Liam has, who ever they are up against has more.

At the end of this story – we get a peak of a next installment from someone else’s POV which i think is interesting, but i’m not sure what that means for the continuation of the story for the other folks.  There wasn’t a hint of a real 3rd installment yet that i’m aware of yet i don’t have any closure to the whole story.  i’ll have to keep my eyes open because i’m really interested to see what happens.

What Lisa Renne Jones does that’s really great is that she gives us a great story that’s wrought with tension and fear of kidnapping and murder – which is always needed in a story like this.  all at the same time that we see a great romance develop and blossom not without it’s own problems.  i want to see things happen in a certain way but so far, things have not resolved which is nice in a way if there is another installment in the works.   I hope you guys enjoy this one!

Overview

My name is Monica. I’m a singer born and raised in Los Angeles.
I’ve stopped dating. When I cut a record, or win a Grammy, maybe then I’ll be with someone, but every man in my past has done everything he could to make me submit myself to him, and it’s gotten in the way of my career. I won’t do it again.

But there’s Jonathan. He owns the high-rise hotel where I work, and he is gorgeous and charming. I refuse to fall in love with him, even though when he asks me to submit to him, I want nothing more

My Thoughts

I was looking for something new to read and while i had opened and started reading a Dystopian 3rd installment, i realized that last night i needed something less serious and that’s where i stumbled onto the first novella installment of the Songs of Submission series on Netgalley.  I have to say that there’s a lot of value in novellas – while they are short and you don’t really get into the depth of a relationship, they give you just enough – a few chapters of character and plot development to hook you and that’s what i needed.

In this story we meet the female lead Monica who is a singer who’s trying to make it, while at the same time she’s also trying to make it in the sense of surviving financially which in her world is as a cocktail waitress.  She works as a high end bar at a hotel and her world changes when she finally meets the owner Jonathan one night – which isn’t the best circumstances for her given that she gets trapped in his gaze and manages to spill all her drinks on the men at the table and gets fired.  Jonathan then summons her to his office where her manager kindly warns her that not only will he offer her a severance, but he usually likes to have sex with those that he lets go too.  well Monica is a bit stronger than that and isn’t up for that kind of a deal, but when she gets to the office, she finds that she’s drawn to him.  but she won’t cross that line.

so this first installment takes us on the beginnings of what develops between them – we see that there’s a connection there, but of course since they are from different worlds and Monica is closed off a bit to men, it’s not going to be easy.  we also learn that Jonathan was married once before and that his ex actually ripped out his heart when she left and cheated on him, so i’m sure that will come up in the next installments.

We also meet in the path of this story Moncia’s bandmates – one who is her ex, and one who is the sister of said ex who is also unstable – i.e. depressed, on meds and has attempted suicide before.  Everyone feels the need to babysit Gabby because of her past and i’m sure that it’s going to play a  big role in this story as well – since you know the adage, once unstable always unstable right?

i can’t wait to find book 2 and see where this goes because it just started to get juicy at the very end…..gotta love when a phone rings and you don’t like the name that comes up on the caller ID…right?

Review: Because we Belong (Because you are Mine #3) by Beth Kerry

Title:  Because We Belong
Author: Beth Kerry
Publisher/Year:  Penguin 11/5/13
Length:  368 pages
Series: Because you are Mine #3

Overview

The “wicked good storytelling” (Jaci Burton) of New York Times bestselling author Beth Kery continues inBecaue We Belong, the new Because You Are Mine novel

IAN…“[the] hero…dark, mysterious, and very dominant” (Smexy Books), a sexual force to be reckoned with, a man accustomed to getting what he wants.

FRANCESCA…“a fascinating heroine” (Heroes and Heartbreakers), a woman who had no idea how far she was willing to go in the name of love.

Introduced in New York Times bestselling author Beth Kery’s erotic phenomenon Because You Are Mine, they aroused an “addictive and delicious” (USA Today) romance that dared to break the rules of attraction.

In Because We Belong Ian and Francesca return to reignite the exquisite passions that drew them together, and to finally face the intimate secrets that threatened to separate them forever. The secrets of an inescapable past that was one man’s darkest mystery—a darkness that seduced one woman and forever held her spellbound with forbidden desire. For both of them, the next step is total abandon.

My Thoughts

I think that all of us who have invested time with this couple really wanted the best outcome possible for them, but knowing how volatile things could be with Ian and his past in general, the chance of things working out smoothly were slim to none.

We left off with this couple when everything was falling apart for Ian.  He learned more information from Lucien than he thought he’d find, and then his mother’s health deteriorated so quickly that she passed and things went downhill from there since you know that Ian will always blame himself for that.  Francesca was left helpless because the man that she loved, her other half up and left her without even a way to get in touch, and she didn’t know where to go from there.  Thankfully she was able to cling back to her friendships pre-Ian, and Davie took her back in and helped her survive.  It’s only when things seem to be getting a little bit better that the other shoe drops .

Lucien comes knocking on the door one day saying that they all NEED Francesca to come back since Ian left all power and authority in his company to her and they need to make a decision about acquiring a company that we know Ian wanted.  Gerard (Ian’s Cousin) and James/Anne, the grandparents are all on the board and try to do what they can to teach Francesca what she needs to know to help make an informed decision on what to do.  Lucky for Francesca, she’s got great intuition and decides that there’s too much risk in something that Gerard is pushing to do that she sides with Lucien to make another choice.  As that’s happening, fear for her safety comes along since she’s almost kidnapped one day while out running with Davie, and that’s just the start of another spiral out of control.

The whole family goes back to England for James and Anne’s anniversary ball and for the holidays and Ian learns that there’s been an attempt on Francesca.  He returns to see to her safety, while finding that things aren’t as good as they seem.  He’s got a sense that Gerard has motives outside of helping out Ian’s company -namely making moves on Francesca and doing things underhandedly.  Ian also isn’t srue what to make of things while he’s back since he knows that he still loves Francesca more than anything, but he can’t be with her until he’s sorted out his past and that’s not something that seems like it’s going to happen anytime soon.

Francesca spends a lot of her time and energy trying to fight her anger with him for leaving while knowing that it’s not a battle that she can win.  she wants to understand what drives Ian but needs the help from others to figure it out .

What i enjoyed about this final installment of the series is that you know clearly what the motives are for a lot of actions and you can follow the clear delineated path that they take – but you spend chapter after chapter wondering when it’ll manifest.  I think that it’s nice when you expect things but they aren’t really detractiona from the story.  I also like that we get another sibling in the mix and i have a feeling that this isn’t the last that we’ve heard of him.  i like how he pops up at the most inopportune times and yet at the times of need as well.  as we come to expect, someone gets killed, maybe a few people do actually – there’s a threat on folks’ lives which is nice, and some great passion which keeps this romance and story going.  i think that the power that we get from Ian is exactly what makes this story nice and the way that Francesca responds is a great compliment.

I hope that we get more from them – there was a teaser of a book to come in the spring that may give me a bit more of what i want – and i’m looking forward to that story since it’ll give us a glimpse into someone that we barely know. 2 someones perhaps.   i hope you guys enjoy this final installment in Ian and Francesca’s tale.

Review: Champion (Legend #3) by Marie Lu

Title:  Champion
Author: Marie Lu
Publisher/Year:  Penguin 11/5/13

Series: Legend #3

Overview

The explosive finale to Marie Lu’s New York Times bestselling LEGEND trilogy—perfect for fans of THE HUNGER GAMES and DIVERGENT!

He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?

June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps Elect while Day has been assigned a high level military position. But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them once again. Just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything he has. With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion.

My Thoughts

Where do i begin – WOW – there was a lot that i definitely didn’t see coming even though a majority was quite expected.  We are picking right up where we left off, June is the Princeps Elect (or one of 3) that’s to shadow Anden who is the new elector of the Republic.  The princeps will become the leader of the senate so it’s a BIG DEAL.  Day is still the people’s favorite given that he’s what they want – a rebel that will fight for them….and Anden will do what he can to make Day stay on his side.

Where this story opens up though is several months after we last left these guys, and the colonies and the Republic are at it again.  The colonies are planning to attack again, and the only way that Anden thinks that he can keep them at bay (especially now since the colonies have an ally in Africa who apparently is a super power) – is to turn over Eden, Day’s brother in the search for a cure of the plague since it’s spread into the colonies.  Anden decides that he has to use June to get Day to respond to requests and she reaches out to him to come back to Denver the capital in the hopes of convincing him (which she knows is a lost cause).

While everyone’s together though, the colonies decide that they are going to strike anyway – without waiting for a deal to be made.  This means that chaos ensues.  people are at risk, we know that the colonies want to capture Day and Eden, and they want to kill Anden, June and the other princeps elect.  Day has to work with the patriots to keep everyone safe, while evacuating the city.

We get to see Thomas and Commander Jameson stand trial and get their sentence doled out, but while we’ve always held out hope that Thomas isn’t as bad as his actions, we know that commander Jameson truly is, and she doesn’t disappoint.  we learn that she’s working for the other side and that causes issues of it’s own.

Throughout the story, we see the constant battle of trying to get to Eden to use his blood for a cure, we see the constant fight that Day has with his health since we know that his brain is infected – we see the relationship develop at times between June and Day but it’s never fully taken to where it needs to go overtly at least.

Anyway, what i loved about this story is

1) they bring into play Antarctica – i don’t know about you guys but i NEVER would have expected that bit of things.  what they’ve done there and the power that they’ve become – i mean WOW!

2) at this point you don’t even know what’s going to happen to the republic or Colonies or anyone – and that’s kind of nice.

so, while i think that i may have expected a different ending, i’m pleased with it.  I liked that it wasn’t clean and cut and dry – but i was a little sad which i know was the intention.  I’ll continue to compare to Requiem and Allegiant at this point.  Requiem left us high and dry – and Allegiant definitely didn’t give me what i was hoping for.

In this story though, I did get what i was hoping for, just not in the same path and form that I expected.  All in all though, great closure and a great resolution to the story.

Review: Anything He Wants (Castaway #4) by Sara Fawkes

Title:  Anything He Wants:  Castaway #4
Author: Sara Fawkes
Publisher/Year:  Fawkesfire 9/14/13
Length:  121 pages
Series: Anything He Wants #8, Castaway #4

Overview

Forgiveness is sought and deadly deadly decisions made in the electrifying climax of the Anything He Wants: Castaway series!

They say the sins of the father are passed down on the successive generations, and no more so than in the Hamilton family. What little hope remains in Lucy’s heart is shattered by events and the trauma of a madman’s pursuit. Outmatched and outsmarted at every turn, Lucy will be forced to make a terrible choice that will have lasting consequences, no more so than with her heart. For in her hands lies the fate of two men, both of whom she loves, and she must decide which will live, and which will die.

With no light at the end of this dark tunnel, will Lucy be able to choose the right path? Or will she be destined to bring down the Hamilton family legacy?

My Thoughts

I mean, who doesn’t love a story that starts up right after a bomb (or several) have gone off and you don’t know who’s going to survive and to what extent.  That’s the best way to resolve a cliffhanger of the last few chapters.  Where we pick up is Lucy trapped beneath the rubble, trying to find her way out, Lucas trying to help her and we’re not quite sure where Jeremiah is…but we know he’s safe (or so we guess right?)

The CIA, Interpol, all other sorts of agents are mulling around, trying to figure out where to get everyone that would be safe since they know that they can’t trust anyone, that their location is being tracked and they aren’t 100% sure who’s after them, yet they think that it’s Rush – because he’s the evil 3rd brother.  (and yes, we’ve confirmed that he’s a brother).

These final chapters of the story take us on the journey to a hospital to hide out and recover, we try to figure the extent of injuries – we know that Lucy has either sprained or broken her ankle which i’m sure we can expect to hurt her chances of fight or flight in the coming chapters – and we see that Lucas is probably far more injured than he’s letting on since he’s hunched over, holding his abdomen but won’t admit to any pain.  that is until they are all being moved to a ‘safe’ hospital for medical attention and he collapses to the ground.  this should be the first of many bad omens since it means that Lucy and Lucas will be riding in one vehicle to go to the hospital and Jeremiah will be left behind.

who knows what that means for his trip to find them, although if you know these types of stories – you know that he’s not going to make it – and he doesn’t .  the car that he’s in gets stopped and he’s captured.  While Lucas and Lucy are trying to figure out what to do next, they are overcome by some type of gas in their safe house and they find themselves kidnapped as well.  good news – they are with Jeremiah – bad news – not everyone will live.

I’ll leave you with that – but i do have to say one thing.  i really enjoyed the ending – kind of expected it, but i was pleased with where it went.  One of the things that i Love about Sara Fawkes writing style is that she doesn’t feel the need to go overboard on certain bits of the story.  we know that there’s goign to be continued trouble in paradise and we don’t know if Jeremiah will ever forgive Lucy or if he’ll even have the chance, but we don’t dwell on it to much.  we get the other side of the story to continue and it adds to all that anxiety.

We also know what we’re to expect of the ending, and while it’s predictable, it’s not bad – it was well written and thought about in a good way.

What i loved too is not only did we get an epilogue – we got a ‘bonus story’ at the very end and that was great.  it makes me wonder if Ms. Fawkes is going to continue the story a bit more even for a #0.5 book so that we get the missing months.

All in all, even though it was a novella in the way that i read it with a few chapters here and there, and apparently i’m too slow to have realized that this final installment has been out for a month and a half, i’m glad that i took the journey with this family and that we got the story that we did.  It’s nice to see family blown apart, come back together, and not get quite the resolution that we were hoping for.  It’s also nice to see a romance that’s not so clean and pretty – but gives us what we need.

I hope you guys enjoyed it like i did!

Review: Sentinel (Convenant #5) by Jennifer L Armentrout

Title:  Sentinel
Author: Jennifer L Armentrout
Publisher/Year:  Spencer Hill Press 11/2/13
Length:  360 pages
Series: Covenant #5

Overview

It’s a beautiful day for a war. As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all. And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoonworthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly foe as they travel deep into the Underworld to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time. In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant Series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear… or the end of herself.

My Thoughts

We’ve been following these characters on this journey for so long that I wasn’t sure what was going to happen exactly.  I mean, were we looking at a happy ending, and for whom? was it going to blow up in their faces and who was going to die since we all know that many folks do each installment.

So this fifth and final installment picks up right after Alex has had the crap beaten out of her by Ares, and literally is trying to heal her body after Apollo has given her the nectar of the gods in order to survive.  She’s mending, and Aiden of course is there with her every moment because of their strong bond.

Throughout this story, we see a different and ever changing side to Seth, since we don’t know what his motives are any more and even if he’s to be believed.  We know that he was with Lucien and Ares, and he was their pawn, but all of a sudden he seems to have had a change of heart and is siding with Alex/Aiden and the good guys.  No one knows if this is a good thing or not.

We see strategies play out on how they need to take Ares down and what that’s going to mean.  We see the on going debate about the transfer of power between Seth and Alex even know they’ve ‘agreed’ on what the best thing is on who will become the ‘God Killer’. Apollo continues to play a very strong role and we see a bit more of Hades and Artemis in this installment.  I really love Apollo – he’s such a great guy -likeable and you just want to believe that he’s going to be able to do what’s best for everyone.  Mind you i think that one of my favorite scenes is when we learn that he and Deacon have had a bit of something something together.  that was priceless.

The final third of the story was really where the anxiety kicks it up a notch.  The good guys are on the move, they have a plan and a secret weapon in their pocket on how they are going to take down Ares.  Alex continues to worry that Seth’s being dishonest, and i kept wondering that he was out for himself.  I think that’s one of the greatest things about this story – that you can’t trust him – he never does what he implies that he will and that’s keeping us on the edge of our seat.

I have to admit, i wasn’t expecting the end of the story to be what it was at all.  it really took a turn that was unexpected and that was great.  Another person that we cared about and really grew to be invested in was killed, the underworld plays a LARGE role, and we saw a lot more mythical folks than ever before.

If nothing else, this series went out with a bang, and i’m really glad that i’ve now spent the last year + with these characters since it was a great take of modern realism and fantasy mixed together.  With a bit of YA appropriate romance/passion….and maybe a baby?

Enjoy!

Review: The Wrong Billionaire’s Bed (Billionaire Boy’s Club #3) by Jessica Clare

Title:  The Wrong Billionaire’s Bed
Author: Jessica Clare
Publisher/Year:  Penguin Group (USA) 10/15/13
Length:  265 pages
Series: Billionaire Boy’s Club #3

Overview

The Billionaire Boys Club is a secret society of six men who have vowed success—at any cost. Not all of them are old money, but all of them are incredibly wealthy. They’re just not always as successful when it comes to love…

Audrey Petty’s always been the responsible one. The good twin.  Successful, dependable, and trustworthy—that’s Audrey. She’d be the perfect girlfriend for her childhood crush, billionaire Cade Archer…except that she’s pretty sure she’s not even on his radar. But when fate (and her chaotic twin) come together, Audrey finds out that she’ll be spending the next month with Cade at his remote cabin retreat. It’s a dream come true…

Until she meets her worst nightmare.

Billionaire playboy Reese Durham is used to seducing women to get what he wants. But when stiff, too-proper Audrey bursts into the private mountain lodge and scares his companion out the door, it’s time for a little revenge. It’s clear that Audrey’s in love with his buddy, Cade…and it’s clear to Reese that blackmailing Audrey with this information can get her to agree to just about anything. Like furtive kisses in the dark, or a secret rendezvous in the woods. Audrey may think she knows what she wants, but Reese is determined to show her what she needs.

And as Reese discovers the volatile minx behind the buttoned-up exterior, he starts to think maybe she’s just what he needs, too

My Thoughts

We’ve become well aware of Audrey as she’s Logan’s assistant and she had a role in all of the other ladies stories – either through helping Bronte through her struggles or being the younger sister of Gretchen in book 2.  I knew what was coming from the horrible experience that she had at Hunter/Gretchen’s party when Daphne her twin showed up high and drunk and caused a spectacle.

So in this story we get to see Audrey’s dreams come true – in an odd way.  She’s trying to help Daphne get sober since her twin won’t go to rehab again, and Cade, one of the billionaires and her childhood friend has offered his house and his assistance to get Daphne sober. This means that Audrey has the chance that she’s always wanted to spend time with him since she’s been in love with him forever and see where it goes.

Of course things don’t always work out as planned – because as soon as they get to Cade’s house, they find Reese there, with another woman and that throws a curve ball in things.  Daphne’s also not the easiest to deal with since she’s having a tough time coming down off her drugs and substances.  What ensues is a ‘hate hate’ relationship with Audrey and Reese, Daphne being needy and Cade being overly attentive to that, and Audrey finding herself attracted to Reese in ways that she didn’t expect and didn’t want.

All the while, still harboring feelings for Cade and not sure what the implications will be.  Throughout this story we get to see the dynamics between the couples, and see what will develop.  There are a lot of things that were quite expected in terms of who would hook up and who’s feelings would get hurt.  I can’t say that there was any twist here that was unexpected and unpredictable which is a bit of a let down since i think that there was more of that tension in the previous installments of the series.

While i like the story and i like that it’s continuing, i really hoped that there would be more tension which would lead to more passion and that’s not really what we got.  We got luke warm sensuality between the characters, lacking the steam and passion that i’ve come to appreciate, but at least we got to see characters come together that deserve each other.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see who’s story is next……this was average but i’m not willing to give up on the series yet.
