Overview

He’s a sexual dominant. She’s sworn off sex. There’s no way they can make a relationship work-or can they?

After surviving a traumatic event at age fifteen and the ensuing estrangement from her family, Natalie Bryant has worked for years to reinvent herself into the woman she is today-a happy teacher fresh out of college and enjoying her first winter in New York City with her faithful dog, Fluff, by her side. Natalie isn’t expecting her life to change completely during a routine stroll through Greenwich Village on a blustery January day. But when Fluff breaks loose and charges into a park, Natalie gives chase and crashes into her destiny. Only after Fluff bites and draws blood from the man who accidentally knocked Natalie down does she realize Fluff has bitten the biggest movie star in the world.

He has no business being enthralled by the gorgeous, young, innocent teacher…

Natalie captivates Flynn Godfrey from the first moment their eyes meet while she is lying on the ground and he’s fighting off her ferocious little beast of a dog. The only thing Flynn knows for certain is if he lets Natalie get away, he’ll regret it for the rest of his life. After only a short time in her presence, Flynn is prepared to change who he is to be what she needs. He knows he’s in big trouble when she says she won’t sleep with him and he doesn’t care if it means he gets to keep her in his life. But can he turn his back on the lifestyle that has defined him? Can he deny the desires that drive him to give Natalie the introduction to love and romance she so deserves? And most of all, can he keep his truth hidden from her long enough to have forever with her?

My Thoughts

I wasn’t sure at all what to expect from this series, but i have to say that the introduction that we have to things is really great – and the cliffhanger that we’re left with as to the big reveal on Natalie – well it’s something that we’ve been building up to the whole story and i’m glad that it’s finally come to a head.

I’m not at all familiar with this author, but i have to say that the way that this story was laid out is a great progression.  we meet a leading lady who’s making her life into something better because of a trauma that she lived through when she was 15.  We also have a leading man who’s quite famous and successful, yet he’s one of the nicest guys you could ever hope for – aside from the fact that he’s got this dark side of his naughty interests in the club and bedroom.  Knowing what Natalie has had to deal with, it’s surprising that Flynn still wants to get involved with her and we quickly learn that it’s something that he can’t help.

This story takes us through a week or so of a great roller coaster relationship.  The two of them bond over all things normal, and we see that there’s a way to have great chemistry and passion even when sex isn’t involved.  We see that Flynn truly cares and that’s a nice quality to have in our main male character.

It’s not until the last few pages that we see things come to a head.  Flynn’s brought Natalie to the Golden Globes, she’s now on the radar of all reporters everywhere and while they do their best to keep her identity a secret, things like that are NEVER ever buried and we find out in the last 2-3 pages that things are going to come crashing down FAST.

I can’t wait to see where book 2 takes us though, since we now have to get to the bottom of what this reveal means to Natalie, to Flynn and to everyone else.  it’s something major for sure, and that’s what a great ending of a book should have.  Romance, anxiety and well – a bit of legal problem rolled into one.  So, enjoy reading everyone and again, happy Monday.
