Overview
Meet Mason. He is used to getting what he wants. The head of his own corporate empire, he has wealth, means, and no shortage of beautiful women ready to fulfill his every need. But despite having it all, Mason is bored. Until he comes face-to-face with a woman from his past—one who will do anything to get what she wants. But is her desire for Mason worth the risk?
My Thoughts
And the story continues – we are at a point where Dana has pushed Mason to the point that he’s going to give in to her, but at what cost. And so we see how their feelings are still a point of contention, how they are obviously attracted to one another, but Mason will go to any length to keep her at arms length.
While expected and predictable, i think that there’s an element of depth to this story since we continue to get the flash backs and return to present day. Things become clear as to why Mason left the house and why Dana felt rejected – and why she’s acting as she is.
Ms. Carew – our gifted author continues to keep us really interested in the heat and passion between these two, even when it’s taking quite some time to get ot the point where Mason fulfills the contract. It’s not until the last few pages that we see things get interesting. He calls her Sylvie – the name of one of his subs, which of course raises questions, and then there’s the reappearance of Maria – the maid that ruined everything back all those years ago.
The point where we’re left – well it’s a bit nuts. While we expected to see the outcome a bit, i think that it’ll be even more interesting to see what happens since their worlds are going to get flipped upside down. Dana’s professed her love and admitted that she’s more invested than she wanted. Mason’s got an emotional tie to her, but won’t really act on it. and there are all these outside factors that are about to wreak havoc on them. on that note, i’ve downloaded #3 and i’ll have to dive into that in a little bit.
