Overview

My boss, the billionaire bad boy Leo King, not only tricked me into being his fake-wife, but the dirty secret he’s been keeping from me is now also exposed.

I can’t believe I fell for his lies, and worse, I still want him. He says he loves me, but does that fix everything?

The joke is on me. His crazily hot presence is impossible for me to deny. Fighting temptation or risking it all; the choice is simple, but the consequences are tough.

However, when new revelations threaten to break us apart, there is only one thing I can do: Stock up on chocolate and sit this fucker out until the end.

My Thoughts

A big hearty thank you to the publishing team here for giving me access to the whole series before it’s out – in the hopes that maybe just maybe you guys would find this series to be as interesting and fun to read as i do.  What we have here is the finale to the novella series and the culmination of what turned into a really complicated relationship dynamic.

As you’ll remember in the end of Part 2, Sam and Leo were in a very bad place.  Sam was fully aware of the situation of Leo and his ‘real wife’ but that didn’t make things any easier.  She also learned the identity of Mr Awesome, and that makes things even more complicated for them.  I mean, what happens when the man that you have been talking to about your asshole boss has such a close relationship to said asshole boss?

Anyhow, the journey in this finale is one of understanding what you’ll allow yourself to go through and what the idea of Love means in the hopes of coming to a happy place.  There are so many factors outside of these 2 that are constantly pulling them apart, knowing that there’s a chance that being boss/employee will blow up in their face, along with Marilyn who doesn’t want to let go of Leo w/o the CEO position, and the fact that there’s this intense sexual chemistry between them that will explode.  We’ve seen that Leo likes to take on the D role and that’s something that on paper Sam likes, but will she like it in real life – that’s to be determined.

I like the ease in how this story flows – we get to see the back story on Leo and Sam’s relationship and how it came to be what it is.  It’s nice to see that Leo’s human since he was made into the mean boss from the onset.  Aside from that, it’s all a crap shoot.  So on that note, you’ll get to enjoy some hot scening between these 2 and some passion and chemistry that leaps off the pages.  All in all, not a bad way to enjoy my day reading.

Overview

I thought it couldn’t get any worse when my boss, the billionaire bad boy Leo King, blackmailed me into becoming his fake wife. Turns out he has secrets up his sleeve that put a whole new spin on the word douchebag.

Not only did he put my job on the line, my heart has now also become his playground. He seduced me once, but I refuse to fall for his lies again.

If only I had enough chocolate to distract me from his seductive presence. Something tells me he won’t give up the fight to claim me again.

Is he really only into one-night stands or is he lying to get into my pants? Only one way to find out … Time to buy more booze.

The second part of Possessed, a three-part series from Coco Cadence. Note: This ends in a cliffhanger.

My Thoughts

We have the mid point to this story i guess – and i have to say that i kind of expected just about everything that happened.  That doesn’t mean that it was a bad thing – but very predictable none the less.

Where we left off in the first installment, Sam meets the ‘real wife’ and storms out.  We don’t quite get the context of what they are to each other just yet, the real wife and Leo, but you know that it can’t be simple.  If you recall in the first book we learned that Leo had called everyone drunk from vegas saying that he had gotten married so that’s my guess – that he knows this woman and that he’s ‘friends’ with her, and i have to say that there’s a nice twist to who she is exactly that we learn in this bridge book.

It’s nice to see that Sam is human though – that she crashes and burns when her heart is broken and stomped on by Leo.  It’s fun to see that her go tos are getting drunk and sexting with Mr Awesome, who i have to admit keeps bugging me that it’s Leo.  Is it?  or is it not?

Anyhow – we have a bit of fun play here – seeing the hints of BDSM without really getting into it, but a lot of naughty play.  sometimes that’s better than the actual sceneing.  knowing that there’s a heck of a lot of foreplay going on in this series, and just a bit of actual sex.

I do have to keep focusing back on the story line – what is Leo going to do about his marriage and what does that mean for Sam since there are times when i think that he actually likes her for more than just being a pawn in all this.  We’ll find out i’m sure in the next installment, but i think that we’re on the road to something interesting and fun between these 2.  especially when we see the reveal at the end of this part.  I think that it leads us down a path that can go in so many different directions.  So on that note – enjoy!

Overview

My boss is an asshole.
I’d take off my heels and throw them at his face, if they weren’t so expensive.

Why? Because my boss, the sexy, billionaire bad boy Leo King, wants me to be his wife.

That’s right. His wife. Except, it isn’t real. It’s all pretend so his family believes it, and I’m supposed to go along with it.

Asshole doesn’t even begin to describe him, and it’s only going to get worse. Especially because his cocky attitude and sudden interest in my private life make it difficult to concentrate on something other than his sexual innuendos. I always do what he wants, and we both know it. It’s not like I have a choice. Agree or get fired.

I’m going to need a drink … Or twenty.

My Thoughts

I actually really enjoyed this story – even though it had nods towards FSOG a bit. We are quickly thrown into the crux of this story – with Samantha our leading lady being asked to do something for her boss that’s outside of what her job scope is.  very far outside her scope.  She’s the assistant to the CEO of W magazine and of course, said CEO, Leo, is very attractive, yet quite the asshole.  He has found himself in a jam where he’s told his parents that he’s married since that’s what they told him needs to happen, and he now needs to bring a wife home to meet them.

Between you and me, how he sets it up is very fishy since we learn that he was in vegas and he was drunk texting Sam – so i gather that he DID get married but that the person that he married may not be the right type of person to show off.  we’ll see i’m sure.

In any event, Sam of course has her own level of sass and won’t just take the request lightly from Leo, she makes him put everything in writing, gets an increase in pay and gives him grief every step of the way.

If that weren’t enough, there’s an interesting side bit of the story with Sam who likes to engage in a bit of phone/text flirtation with an unknown man – and they share emails back and forth telling each other what it is that they want the other to do sexually and to provide picture proof that they’re doing it.  just not any pics that would be recognizable (i.e. faces etc).  So we have that side story of Samantha’s mystery man – who i have a feeling will turn out to be Leo – but that’s just my expectation since things like this tend to be predictable.

As we tend to find in this genre – the CEOs tend to be Alpha and very dominating, which Leo seems to encompass. It’s only when we see him with his family that his facade crumbles a bit, but i’m sure there’s a story there.  When he’s with Sam, he’s very controlling and powerful and brings out responses in Sam that she’s not expecting yet quite enjoys.  Seeing as how she engages in whatever it is with her phone buddy at work, masturbating in the bathroom and all that, it’s surprising to me that anything would shock her, yet some of the things that Leo insinuates certainly does that.

So within this short 100 or so page intro to the series, we have a complicated story that i cna’t wait to see how it will play out.  There’s clearly chemistry between Sam and Leo, yet there’s so much more to the story that we don’t know about – the mystery of the maybe wife from vegas, the mystery man on the phone – all things to make for a very tense next few chapters.  I like that we got the tease of their scening together at least towards the end of the book – they were hot and steamy and definitely have shared passions which make for a good story.  so….enjoy!
