Lovely, blonde, and young, Jessica accepted a job at New York’s most exclusive BDSM nightclub to make ends meet…and to satisfy her curiosity. Nobody is more intriguing than the BAD boys—Billionaire Arrogant Doms—a trio of unbelievably rich and sexy men. Jessica willingly gets involved with the group, shedding her formerly shy persona to explore the limits of her own desire. But she isn’t sure how vulnerable she wants to be…until the one BAD Boy who never wants to fall in love again—the gorgeous, passionate, and unexpectedly tender Roman—takes an interest in her, and Jessica finds herself drawn deeper into his world than she ever expected.

My Thoughts

I’ve been looking forward to Roman’s story for a while now, and i think that given our intro to Jessica in book 2, i got a great sense of what we’re going ot get.  What surprised me though is that after seeing Roman in action in Japan, i really did wish or expect that he’d end up with a Japanese sub.  oh well.

So in this story, we get the interwoven story of Marc/Lauren where they are figuring out how their relationship works now that they are engaged, and that means that they have to find a new girl for Lauren to Dom since that’s what Marc allows.  interestingly enough, it’s the same girl that Roman is intrigued by – the new bartender Jessica.  It’s after a plan to host a party at Roman’s house in her honor to introduce her to the lifestyle and to the ‘circle’ of friends that things begin to change for her.

We also get to learn a bit more about Jessica, about how she’s really new to everything related to BDSM – she’s never played and doesn’t really understand much about kink – just that she knows that there’s something that draws her in.  Where this story takes us in on the journey of Mistress Lauren beginning to teach her about it all, and Roman taking over since it makes Jess more comfortable.

From what we know of Roman, he’s a ‘take no prisoners’ type and he’s all powerful and controlling.  It seems like that’s something that would work well for Jess, as she seems to be a natural sub – and it’s great to see the power trade between these two.  Of course Roman has the money to make the world change for Jessica and that’s something that makes her hesitant, and is a cause of a rift between Jessica and Elisabeth/Lauren, but i guess that’s all part of the journey of the story.

Again one of the great things about this author is that we get parallel stories all in the same installment.  we’re watching multiple BAD Boy stories play out and we’re seeing Roman overcome his issues with not being able to have Elisabeth and with his fear of getting close to someone again.  We also get the great detail of how he trains Jessica and of what he teaches her.  It’s hot to say the least and really steamy.  It’s nice when there’s a Dom with a very capital D that’s able to take us to another level in scening and it’s got chemistry, and passion and all that great heated stuff.  I’m glad that this is how the series ended, with Roman, although it was a bit anticlimactic at the end.   Check it out and Enjoy!

Billionaire BAD Boy Marc Wilde has never met a woman who could fulfill his every need…until he takes his good friend and fellow dominant Mistress Lauren up on a dangerous bet—a bet where she ends up as his sex slave for a week. Can a Dominatrix fall in love with a Dom? Only if she can find a way to submit to Marc’s every desire and be happy about it. Lauren has her doubts…but the flirtation, the friendship, and the sex might be too much for either to resist…

My Thoughts

I always enjoy getting to know the boys in a trio – and in this instance, we finally get to learn more about Marc – the tattooed, shaven head one….and at the same time we get to learn quite a bit more about Mistress Lauren – whom we were just teased a bit about in book 1.

This story picks up on the eve of Trevor and Elisabeth’s wedding, an even that we can only expect will be complicated given Roman’s feelings for Elisabeth.  That plays out interestingly in this story, but it’s really Marc that we should get back to.

What we find out is that Marc and Lauren have been ‘besties’ for more than 5 years, really leaning on each other for support for any number of reasons, but because they are both doms, they can’t ever really cross that line.  Everyone of course sees the way that they are with each other, and it’s after Roman suggests a bet to Marc that will cause them to cross the line, that we see things evolve and change.  The bet of course is to see who can get a sub to scream first, and the loser then has to sub for the winner for a full week.

Marc finds a way to win the bet, and that means that Mistress Lauren will have to submit for a week.  If she’s able to that is.  Where this story takes us is on that journey, where we learn more about why she became a domme, and what it means for her to submit to someone, and try to relinquish control – which she doesn’t truly do for the most part in this story.

What i liked here is that we continue to see the SM side of BDSM in this series, which we don’t get to see as often in this genre.  We see Marc who’s all tough nails find his compassionate side especially since he finally admits that he’s in deeper with Lauren.  He’s even willing to submit to her if that helps things – but it’s a battle of wills with them.

What we’re continuously asking ourselves in this story is whether Marc’s desire to be with Lauren means that he’ll find a way to successfully top her, or if he’ll find a way to be her sub if it means that things will work out.  I have to say that where they finally netted out was a nice twist on things, given how macho we get a sense of Marc being.

I have to say that Marc knows what he’s doing with heat and passion when he’s trying to top someone.  We get to see him be powerful and authoritative with Lauren and it’s hot.  very hot.  there’s a clear chemistry with them, and because they are both so alpha, it makes each scene that much more intense, sexy, and heated.

The other nice thing is that like we had in the first book, we get a really good path to where the 3rd book will take us.  We know that Roman is miserable and we see him make an escape to Japan to take care of business.  What i love about any notion of Japan and BDSM is the bondage bit – Shibari – and clearly he’s a master.  we see this as a tease while he’s there playing and i can only hope that we’ll get to see more.

So, what we get in this 2nd installment, the bridge book is the cross over from happy newlyweds with Trevor and Elisabeth, to the complexities of Marc and Lauren, to the depression and hope of Roman.  It’s a nice progression, and i like that these stories aren’t really stand alone.  you do yourself a diservice if you read them out of order or as stand alones.  so…..check them all out and i’m off to book 3 to see what’s next for the BAD Boys.

Review: Enslaved (Enslaved Trilogy #1) by Shoshanna Evers

Series: Enslaved Trilogy

Elisabeth Anderson has seen Trevor and his friends at the infamous Manhattan BDSM club WhipperSnapper, where everyone calls them the BAD Boys, for “Billionaire Arrogant Doms.” The BAD Boys—Trevor Brooks, Marc Wilde, and Roman Chase—are aptly named; they’ve made money hand over fist due to their aggressive investing at the Brooks Wilde Chase Fund. These guys are so rich they can get away with anything, or so the rumors go.

Trevor gives Elisabeth full reign of his estate in Westchester, letting her do as she pleases. He has only two rules. Rule One: she must obey and submit to him while she is living in his house. Rule Two: always answer the blue cell phone. She’s happy to oblige, because being with Trevor makes her want to obey, to love him the way he seems to be falling for her. But Elisabeth’s never been good at being the quiet sub; she’s feisty and gets off on the punishments more than she does by pleasing Trevor.

Elizabeth can’t submit to Trevor the way he needs her to, so his friend and business partner (and fellow BAD Boy) Roman takes her in hand. But love triangles can have sharp edges…and somebody’s bound to get hurt.

My Thoughts

It’s an interesting take on things, the way that this story comes about.  We meet Elisabeth when she’s in Grand Central with her old Dom Gregory, as he’s seeing her off on a new adventure.  She had been collared to him for years and they had ended their relationship a few months back.  Even though that’s all happened, Elisabeth has had a fear of what’s to come, and Gregory has worked to find a solution since he knows that he needs someone different for himself and that the same goes for Elisabeth.

Enter Trevor – as noted in the overview, he’s one of the 3 BAD Boys – and he’s become interested in Elisabeth over time.  He has his own past and demons to deal with and thinks that maybe Elisabeth is the way to get past them.  He was married once before and the lifestyle that he prefers was a breaking point.

Where this story takes us is on a journey of self discovery for E – given that she knows what she likes – meaning PAIN and a lot of it, she’s slowly learning that there’s other stuff there too – emotions that she’s been trying to fight off – but that keep bubbling up.  Her time with Trevor is one that’s really good for both of them, the find an easy comfort in one another, yet they have a great BDSM relationship as well.  except for those times that she tries to ‘top from the bottom’.All the while, they begin to develop feelings for one another but are too scared to let them happen or even admit.

That’s where the story takes an even more interesting twist.  Enter Roman, Trevor’s best friend, who has taken on the task of training Elisabeth in the hopes that she’ll realize that she has true feelings for Trevor.  Of course things have to become much more complicated right?  you have another sexy hot Dom that’s leading the training of a bratty Sub, and well, fireworks happen.  and not in a good way.

I think that i was hoping for this new love triangle to make things more complicated and it seemed like for a while we were going to get the complex story that i was hoping for.  I’m still not sure that i buy into the clean nature of how things played out – and maybe i will as the series continues, but i think that it’s interesting to say the least.

The other nice thing about this story is that we have a sub-plot of Elisabeth’s old Dom Gregory who has realized that he prefers men and has taken on a new sub in Andrew.  It’s nice to see that he’s finally doing something for himself that is good – v. trying to fit into the mold of something that’s not fulfilling.

What we get in this story is a new take on BDSM, in the sense that we have someone who really prefers to be a full time slave and have someone make decisions for her all the time.  that’s different than most of what i’ve read- but certainly makes for some heated scening.  the other bit that’s nice is that there’s clear chemistry here in the story – and it’s brought through a combination of pain and pleasure, and that takes the story in a different direction than i’m used to as well.  Anyhow, i’m off to read the next installment and see which BAD Boy we get to learn about next.
