Natalie isn’t expecting her life to change completely during a routine stroll through Greenwich Village on a blustery January day. But when Fluff breaks loose and charges into a park, Natalie gives chase and crashes into her destiny. Only after Fluff bites and draws blood from the man who accidentally knocked Natalie down does she realize Fluff has bitten the biggest movie star in the world.

He has no business being enthralled by the gorgeous, young, innocent teacher…
Natalie captivates Flynn Godfrey from the first moment their eyes meet while she is lying on the ground and he’s fighting off her ferocious little beast of a dog. The only thing Flynn knows for certain is if he lets Natalie get away, he’ll regret it for the rest of his life. After only a short time in her presence, Flynn is prepared to change who he is to be what she needs. He knows he’s in big trouble when she says she won’t sleep with him and he doesn’t care if it means he gets to keep her in his life. But can he turn his back on the lifestyle that has defined him? Can he deny the desires that drive him to give Natalie the introduction to love and romance she so deserves? And most of all, can he keep his truth hidden from her long enough to have forever with her?

My Thoughts

If you think back, Natalie left Flynn at the end of the last installment, after learning about his deepest secrets from his ex Val, and then when confronted with the questions, Flynn denied it all.  we all know that his motives here were completely in the right place – but i think that there’s so much heat and passion here that’s raw and at the surface that it doesn’t matter what his intentions were – Natalie still needs space.

Add to that, the same moment that happens, the FBI agent is back sniffing around for more information from Flynn which makes things even worse.  They are certainly on a roller coaster and it’s one that’s not going to slow down any time soon.

Throughout this final installment in the series, we see that not only are bits and pieces falling into place and being resolved, but the way that our author M.S. Force writes it, we know that there’s going to be another hurdle to over come and that’s something amazing.  These intense passion that these 2 leads have is combustible and it comes right off the pages.  I think that it’s something that you want to root for but at the same time you’re afraid that if you want the best for them, that something else awful is going to happen.

So we see a lot going on with the FBI investigation, narrowing down to suspects and all that.  I think that i’m still of the school that things someone inside the circle did it, but i guess you’ll have to read to find out which one.

We see that there’s still the issue of whether Natalie will get her teaching job back and what that would ultimately mean to the couple since he’s in LA more than NYC.  it’s still very much up in the air if she’ll be allowed to come back since the principle is still against it.  and seems like she’s never going to change her mind.

Then their relationship is the last bit – i think that there’s so much to talk about here.  did they go too hard too fast.  will it last and what will it mean for them? will Hayden ever accept Natalie as part of Flynn’s life?  and will Flynn allow his BDSM side come into the picture in a way that will make Nat seem safe and cared for.

Soooo many questions but i think that they are all good questions to ponder.  so on that note, i hope that you guys enjoy this finale of the series – it’s up there in one of my favs not only for the story line but there’s a good bit of education that we get here – a lot about how to make a nervous sub come into the lifestyle and flourish.  there’s a way that this was written that makes it very hot and very steamy and you really think that you’re there with them.  So on that note – HAPPY FRIDAY all

And most of all, can he keep his truth hidden from her long enough to have forever with her?

My Thoughts

I don’t know if it’s possible to pull together more complexity than what we get in this story – and while we’re hoping for a happy ending, it seems like there’s no way that it’s going to happen for these 2.  We had left Flynn and Natalie at the end of book 1 when their world seemed to be in a great place and then it all came crashing down when someone revealed Natalie’s deepest and most hidden secret – what happened to her in the past and by whom.  While we didn’t know what that would mean for the couple, we saw that it was having such a bad effect on Nat – she was fired from her job and everything that she tried to hide from the world was now front page news.

So in this second installment, we see that they have gone to LA in the hopes of getting ahead of things, figuring out what to do next, and all the while, trying to see how they can make this intense love affair hold strong.  This is a roller coaster since we see that Flynn professionally has some of the highest highs he can imagine, however there’s still a bit of a struggle with him and his bestie Hayden who’s not quite sure what to make of things.  especially since he knows that it means that Flynn is hiding one of the most core things to his being – that he’s a dominant and that he’s got his own playroom in his houses, and then there’s Club Quantum.

That’s the underlying theme here, that we know that Flynn’s keeping that bit of himself at bay, and while we should all know from all other stories in the genre that it’s something that will NEVER work, we still want the best for them.  It’s towards the end when Natalie is intercepted by Val (Flynn’s ex) who decides to tell her that the Flynn that she knows may not be the stellar guy that she’s thinking she’s got.  and that leads us down a very dark and troubled path when things are uncovered, lies are told, and we all know that means DISASTER for a couple.

On top of that, at some point in the story, the FBI pops up and we see that there’s an investigation going on since the lawyer that broke the news about Natalie is now been found murdered and there’s a question as to who;s done it since everyone saw that Flynn has extreme hate towards the guy.

So yet another cliffhanger – we see that the relationship is in shambles, Natalite’s future is in shambles, both personally and professionally and now Flynn has a whole new world of hurt to deal with.  Thank goodness i have book 3 already and that’s something that i can jump right into this evening.  So on that note, enjoy the intense chemistry that these 2 have throughout the book – it’s VERY hot and steamy and hopefully the roller coaster keeps you as invested as it has for me.  Happy Tuesday!

My Thoughts

I wasn’t sure at all what to expect from this series, but i have to say that the introduction that we have to things is really great – and the cliffhanger that we’re left with as to the big reveal on Natalie – well it’s something that we’ve been building up to the whole story and i’m glad that it’s finally come to a head.

I’m not at all familiar with this author, but i have to say that the way that this story was laid out is a great progression.  we meet a leading lady who’s making her life into something better because of a trauma that she lived through when she was 15.  We also have a leading man who’s quite famous and successful, yet he’s one of the nicest guys you could ever hope for – aside from the fact that he’s got this dark side of his naughty interests in the club and bedroom.  Knowing what Natalie has had to deal with, it’s surprising that Flynn still wants to get involved with her and we quickly learn that it’s something that he can’t help.

This story takes us through a week or so of a great roller coaster relationship.  The two of them bond over all things normal, and we see that there’s a way to have great chemistry and passion even when sex isn’t involved.  We see that Flynn truly cares and that’s a nice quality to have in our main male character.

It’s not until the last few pages that we see things come to a head.  Flynn’s brought Natalie to the Golden Globes, she’s now on the radar of all reporters everywhere and while they do their best to keep her identity a secret, things like that are NEVER ever buried and we find out in the last 2-3 pages that things are going to come crashing down FAST.

I can’t wait to see where book 2 takes us though, since we now have to get to the bottom of what this reveal means to Natalie, to Flynn and to everyone else.  it’s something major for sure, and that’s what a great ending of a book should have.  Romance, anxiety and well – a bit of legal problem rolled into one.  So, enjoy reading everyone and again, happy Monday.
