Overview

His touch enflames her desires.

Anna Sampson has allowed billionaire businessman Gabriel Blaine to watch her, all of her. And looking is all he’s done—until now. After giving him permission to touch her, Anna realizes she won’t be satisfied until she has all of this handsome and secretive man.

Soon she tempts him, shreds his control, and pushes him too far. Blaine’s reluctance to take her virginity frustrates Anna. He fulfills her fantasy, but what is their reality together?

My Thoughts

Well, we’re getting into the meat of the story a bit more which is nice, especially given that there’s got to be something a bit deeper to Blaine – and his past and what that means for his relationship with Anna.

We’ve gotten to the point in this where Blaine is going to trust himself to ‘touch’ her but not really engage in more than just touching.  We’ve taken the jump from voyeur to active participant here and it’s interesting to see where things go.

In this 2nd installment we also see Anna struggling a bit more given that she doesn’t make that much money and she’s living in a mansion.  she finds that she has to get another job and that makes things tough since it means that she’ll have to work a night job and that it’ll bit into the time that she has with Blaine.  Of course, being a billionaire, he has a way to solve this and it’s interesting to see where that goes.

There’s a comment that Blaine makes though that really throws me and makes me wonder what we’ll see in book 3.  He says to Anna ‘do you ever wonder why they chose you to house sit among all of the other applicants’ – and then after he says that, he makes it clear that he’ll always protect her.  Personally i find this to be interesting, since we know that Anna has a past – really that it’s her father’s past that she’s hiding, but i wonder if she’s being set up for something?

The other little twist that i can’t to see how it plays out is the relationship Anna has with Michael.  We know that she thinks he’s really cute – but he’s not Blaine so there’s no line to cross there.   I have a feeling though that Michael and Blaine know each other and that’s going to get dicey at some point.  in any event, i’ll have to read on to the final installment and see where this story takes us.
